Run down and dilapidated, the former Maples Motel in Muncie may have brighter days to come. Delaware County Commissioners this week gave a tax sale certificate for the property to East Central Indiana Regional Planning District, a local economic development organization that tries to create jobs by finding new users for former commercial and industrial properties. No word on a future use for the parcel.
