A Madison County jail officer was murdered late Thursday near Markleville and a suspect is in custody. Authorities say the incident that ook 29 year old Uriah Wilson’s life happened at about 11:30pm on the 3600 block of Indiana 38. 29 year old Joseph Hartley is facing a preliminary charge of murder in the shooting. Police are only saying the incident apparently happened at a property owned by Hartley.
