The Sixth Annual Red Gold Run to Crush Hunger was a big draw last month, raising more than $56,000 for local hunger relief groups. Abouut a thousand people took part. Second Harvest Food Bank and the Morrisett Center Food Pantry are among the groups benefitting. Second Harvest says the nearly $30,000 it received from Red Gold will help them distribute close to 120,000 meals to people in need including school pantry distributions.
