One of the first actions taken by the Madison County Council in reviewing the 2018 budget requests was to roll back spending to the current 2017 levels. Council President Steve Sumner made the motion to reduce the 2018 requests to the 2017 spending levels except for contractual obligations and mandated raises by the state.
