Blackford County residents may see taxes go up slightly next year. Members of the Blackford County Council last week approved a total 2018 budget of more than 7-million-500-dollars. But County Auditor Sharon Hartley is quick to point out that the proposed budget and tax rate approved by council must be finalized by the Indiana State Board of Accounts.
