Smaller Schools Aren’t Keeping Up

Students in Indiana’s smallest school districts aren’t keeping up with their peers, according to a Ball State study. About half Indiana’s school districts have fewer than two-thousand students. Economist Michael Hicks says their S-A-T scores are 20 points lower than the other half, while their passing rates on the ISTEP are five-percent worse.
