An Elwood man who claims he was tortured by city police and Madison County sheriff’s deputies during an arrest in 2015 is moving forward with a federal lawsuit. According to the Herald Bulletin 37-year-old Joseph D. Lewis claims he was tazed and tortured after he was arrested in September of 2015. Those involved are denying the accusations.
