The rains rolled in not before they attempted to make Anderson and Madison County a cleaner place. Volunteers for the 32nd Annual Rev. J.T. Menifee Citywide Cleanup gathered over the weekend to pick up trash on the streets and along the White River. The Hoosier Environmental Council, Heart of the River and White River Watchers of Madison County also held the annual River Greenway Cleanup. The Herald Bulletin reports that last year’s cleanup netted 437 tons of debris.
