A Muncie church volunteer who was arrested while taking a teenager to an Anderson motel room had his 10-year prison sentence upheld Tuesday by the Indiana Court of Appeals. The Herald Bulletin reports that 49-year-old John C. McClafferty appealed the initial sentence saying the judge improperly concluded that his prior criminal history was more severe than indicated in a pre-sentence report.
