Westfield schools are responding to a lawsuit over a stage collapse that injured more than a dozen students last year. The family of Destiny Hoffman filed a lawsuit claiming the school district should pay damages. However the school says Hoffman contributed to the collapse and as a result in not entitled to compensation. Hoffman’s lawyer says he looks forward to a jury trial.
