Convicted Killer Seeks Court Relief

25 years ago, Matthew Stidham was convicted of brutally killing an Eaton man. This week, he was in Delaware Circuit Court again, looking for post-conviction relief. The Star Press reports he and his attorney are making the argument that Stidham has changed greatly over time including taking college courses offered to prison inmates. He was convicted in 1991 and sentenced to 141 years behind bars in the death of 31 year old Daniel Barker.
