This Friday is Friends and Family Fun Night at the Muncie Childrens Museum. The museum will be transformed into a tropical paradise from 3 – 7 p.m. Tropical games and crafts will be partnered with limbo and hula hoop contests. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The Anderson Fire Department now has a merit commission to decide hirings, firings and promotions. The commission held its first meeting last week. The goal is to eliminate politically-motivated changes.
Firefighters from Chesterfield, Richland Township and Daleville were sent to a fully-involved garage fire at 3537 E. Madison County Road 100S before 5:00 a.m. Investigators were also sent to the scene about 90 minutes after the blaze was reported. There’s no word of any injuries at this point.
Winchester officials say a new, upscale apartment complex is planned for the city. Biggs Incorporated, a subsidiary of Suburban Home and Ideal Realty, will work with SMD Winchester LLC to construct Crossings at Sunny Ridge on Sunny Knoll Drive.
