New radios in use

Anderson officials have unveiled a new police and fire radio system.  The new 450 megahertz system replaces an 800 megahertz system that was prone to a number of dead spots around the city.  It cost $640,000.

Man held in stabbing incident

INDOT files suit over land dispute

The Indiana Department of Transportation has sued 3M Corporation in Hartford City for land along State Road 26.  INDOT officials want the land to widen the highway in the area, and 3M rejected an offer of $18,500 for the parcel.  The Blackford County Commissioners and Hartford Equipment and Salvage have also been named in the […]

Courthouse focus of meeting

The Randolph County Commissioners and County Council hold a joint meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday.  The boards will discuss what to do about the aging Randolph County Courthouse.  The previous commissioners board voted in 2005 to tear down the old courthouse and build a new one on the same spot.  The commissioners then rescinded the […]
