Work continues on mission building

Construction is proceeding well on the new Muncie Mission structure planned near Memorial Drive and Liberty Street according to Rev. Slippery conditions result from snowfall

Road clearing efforts will continue around the area following Sunday’s snowfall.  About three inches of snow blanketed much of the area.  Few accidents are reported following the most significant snowfall we’ve had this winter.  The National Weather Service does have a Winter Weather Advisory out for freezing drizzle this morning.

Man gets jail sentence cut

In a roundabout way

Noblesville officials say they plan to construct four roundabouts at intersections this year.  Meanwhile a Fishers intersection will see a roundabout next year.  The city of Carmel already has more than 40 roundabouts.  Officials say the circular intersections greatly improve traffic flow.

Student stabbed; another student held

A Huntington North High school freshman was taken from school by police Friday after witnesses say h e stabbed a fellow student in the abdomen in a school hallway.  Two faculty members confronted the 14-year-old after the alleged attack.  They told police the boy surrendered immediately.

Enrollment decline

Ball State’s spring enrollment totals 15,849 according to figures released by the university last week.  That’s down 482 students from last spring.  The university also reports off-campus enrollment is up to over 3,000 students.
