The Anderson/Madison County Homeless Task Force has accounted for 168 homeless people in the area. The group recently took part in the National Homeless Count. All but one of the homeless people have some sort of shelter.
Cancer Services of Delaware County/Little Red Door has received a $24,000 grant from the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Fund. The money will be used to increase awareness of the life-saving benefits of early detection of breast cancer.

The Marion YWCA building has a new owner. Montpelier resident Paula Storer wants to turn the building at 615 S. Adams Street into a supportive living home for veterans. The building will undergo some remodeling. Storer owns a similar home for veterans in Gas City.
