Commissioners' road show

Six of the two dozen Delaware County Commissioners meetings this year will be held in town halls around the county.  The first meeting “on the road’ is set for February 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Eaton Town Hall.

Murder case heads into court

A formal charge of murder has been filed against a Selma man as a result of an incident December 23.  Justin Suits, 27,  is accused in the strangulation death of Marva Rhea, 26, formerly of Logansport.  Suits is being held in the Delaware County Justice Center without bond.

Council will grow

The Westfield Town Council will add a seventh member during its meeting Thursday night.  The additional member is needed due to redistricting done last year.  The changes will lead Westfield from town to city status next year.

Questions arise about safety of Alex street

The Alexandria City Council is looking to convert a section of Church Street into one-way traffic.  Councilman John Dockrey says some residents have expressed concern that the current two-way configuration is unsafe due to how narrow it is.  The affected section is only a block long between Lincoln and Walnut streets.

Armed and blogged

The number of “Armed and Famous” entries on the Internet continues to grow.  There are now at least three web sites related to the show, including www.armed-famous.com, www.armedandfamous.net and www.armedandfamous.org.  The latter two also have several discussion boards.
