A financial bombshell for Madison County after the IT Department revealed that it will cost around $800,000 to upgrade the county’s computers. Starting next January 1, Microsoft will no longer offer support or security for Windows 7, and is recommending the county upgrade to Windows 10. Which means the county would have to purchase new computers for each county office.
