Sheriff Scroggins Discloses Plan To Save Money

Sheriff Mike Scroggins has a new plan to save Delaware County some of the money it currently spends to house inmates in jails in other counties. Scroggins told the county commissioners on Monday about his plan to move even as few as a single inmate to the state Department of Correction to open up needed space in the county’s jail. So far this year, Delaware County has paid 343,000 dollars to other counties for housing.
