Ball State Sets Up Emergency Notification System

An emergency text message service is the latest method Ball State University will use to warn students and other members of the university community of a potential crisis on campus. The opt-in message service will send emergency bulletins via cell phones to all students, faculty and staff who sign up online.  School officials say the service will be used for immediate situations that demand attention, like weather cancellations, tornado sirens or imminent threats on campus. Recipients of the emergency messages are asked to follow instructions and take immediate action.
