10-year-old brings gun to Evansville school

Evansville Police say a 10-year-old boy who brought a loaded handgun to school and showed it to a student, likely didn’t intend to shoot the firearm.  The weapon was confiscated by a school bus driver without incident Wednesday afternoon.  The boy told police he found the gun as he was looking for bubble gum in his house and decided to bring it to school.  Police Chief Brad Hill says the boy was keen on “showing it off to different kids.”
