Law could allow film makers to shoot in Indiana

Hollywood could be coming to Indiana. A bill to provide lucrative tax incentives to production companies to film in Indiana was approved last week by the state legislature.  The bill would provide a 15 percent tax refundable credit for in state hiring and purchases for qualified productions.  The Indiana Media Industry Network says in order to qualify for the credit, TV or film crews will have to spend $100 thousand or more in Indiana and $50 thousand for a music, media or musical production.  If the bill passes in the house, the law will take effect July 1.
