The road to the Super Bowl begins Saturday afternoon for the Indianapolis Colts as they host Kansas City at the RCA Dome in the AFC Playoffs beginning at 4:30.

It’s a doubleheader Saturday for Ball State basketball…the men host Toledo at 1 p.m. and the women host Western Michigan beginning at 4:30.

Men’s action from Thursday night had IPFW over Anderson, Indiana State beat Creighton, IUPUI falling to Oakland and Valparaiso over Centenary.

The Pacers lost in Dallas 100-91.  They’re at New Orleans/Oklahoma City Saturday night.

Yorktown won the Delaware County wrestling meet Thursday night with Delta finishing second.  In dual meet action Muncie Central lost to Richmond.

It’s a big doubleheader weekend for a number of high school boy’s basketball teams.  Girl’s basketball from Thursday night had Muncie Southside over Blackford.

Boy’s swimming had Anderson Highland over Muncie Central, Muncie Southside over Adams Central, Blackford over Elwood, Delta over Pendleton Heights and Jay County falling to Bellmont.

Art Shell is out as head coach of the Oakland Raiders…meanwhile Steelers head coach Bill Cowher will reportedly resign Friday, and Nick Saban was introduced Thursday as the new head coach at Alabama.

Randy Johnson has reportedly agreed to a contract extension with the Arizona Diamondbacks should his trade from the Yankees be completed.
