The speed limit on busy Oakwood Avenue between McGalliard Road and Bethel Avenue is changing. The Muncie Board of Works and Public Safety decided to change the speed limit to 20 MPH. The city says the change is for the safety of bicyclists and school children. About 8700 motorist use the road daily.
Two conservative family groups are suing, saying LGBT protections in Indianapolis and Carmel are unconstitutional. The Indiana Family Institute and American Family Association of Indiana also say a “fix” in the state’s RFRA law is also unconstitutional as well. The groups say the laws infringe on their religious freedom.
