A pro-life student organization has filed a lawsuit against Ball State University for denying funds from the student activity fees. Students for Life’s suit alleges the university is playing favorites with whom receives funding and that it’s stifling free speech. It also says that the Student Activity Fee Committee has sweeping authority to refuse funding for any reason including unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination. Students for Life is seeking almost 300-dollars for an event they hosted in February, damages for rights violations, attorney fees and injunctions. Ball State has not commented on the suit.
