A large chunk of money raised from Tax Increment Financing through the Muncie Development Commission has gone to pay for city streets and public safety. The Star Press reports Mayor Tyler allocated $8.6 million dollars in all for city expenses including more than $5 million for road projects and another $1.3 million for police and fire operations.
