A tentative settlement has been reached in a federal civil lawsuit filed against the city of Anderson and former Mayor Kevin Smith. According to the Herald Bulletin, court documents indicate that a settlement has been reached in a 2015 incident involving an absentee ballot. The attorneys for all parties involved are to file a stipulation of dismissal within 28 days.
