During his attempted murder trial, bombing suspect Lionel R. Mackey Jr., told a police officer he left an explosive device outside his ex-girlfriend’s Muncie home because he’s a “nutball.” He later returned to his original story saying he was not responsible for the device and had never been to his former girlfriend’s home.
