An allegedly impaired driver collided with emergency responders working the scene of a car/pedestrian crash on N SR 3 yesterday evening in Eaton.
An Eaton fire truck was struck at high speed while blocking traffic to protect personnel rendering aid to the pedestrian from the initial crash.
The fire truck sustained heavy damage, but no fire personnel were injured.
The driver was arrested and transported from the scene by Indiana State Police.
