The city of Anderson has agreed settle a lawsuit brought on by two workers who filed a discrimination lawsuit against the Water Pollution Control Department and two union organizations. The settlement covers the claims against the city and the National Utility Workers of America but the lawsuit against Local 108 remains unresolved. The city has agreed to pay nearly 70-thousand dollars from the city’s loss fund, but admits no wrongdoing in the settlement.
