A bill in front of the House Ways and Means Committee in the State Legislature would allow Ball State University to oversee Muncie Community Schools. BSU President Geoffrey Mearns and Indianapolis attorney Rick Hall, chair of the university’s board of trustees spoke to the committee. Backers say the measure is a way to contemplate solutions for MCS.
