The attempt to smuggle drugs into jail took on a new form recently. Randolph County authorities say 24 year old Jessica Hersey tried to hide suboxone strips on an elevation in the county courthouse. The plan was for another inmate to find them there and then deliver the strips to Hersey’s boyfriend behind bars. They got caught and officials don’t think any of the drugs got through.
