JC Penney is hiring around 850 people in Indiana, starting this week. The National Hiring Day event is tomorrow, from 2 to 8 p.m. at every JC Penney store. JC Penney plans to close five stores in Indiana this year, part of a chain-wide closing of 138 stores.
