A member of the Killbuck Concerned Citizens Association wants Madison County to pay off the organization’s remaining debt of $13,000 from the past legal battle over the proposed Mallard Lake landfill. The fight over the landfill began four decades ago, but it was sold in 2016 to three buyers, all of whom said they had no interest in establishing a landfill.
