They’ve been writing checks to the tune of $2 million this year to buy 28 new vehicles for five departments in Anderson. Among those vehicles, three new Freightliner tandem dump trucks at a cost of $479,955. They’ll use those to salt and plow. Also, earlier in the year, Anderson PD put 20 news vehicles into service at a cost of half a million dollars.
