Jonathan Taube, Lieutenant of the Muncie Salvation Army is in Texas helping with the flooding aftermath. He says they continue to meet immediate needs for food/hydration. At the end of last week they transitioned from cooking up to 2,000 hot meals on site at the corps to partnering with a local caterer to cover that responsibility. The corps itself received a lot of flooding from the storm. They are dealing with significant water damage. Also housed in the corps building is a men’s shelter and a thrift store and both of those operations were severely damaged by the storm.
