A troubled motel on the south side of Muncie has been shut down and the plan is to tear it down, too. Officials say the Red Carpet Inn at 3400 S. Madison St. is littered with bedbugs, fleas and mice, and has work done on its electrical and plumbing systems without proper permits. It will be demolished.
