Delaware Co. Leaders Hope to Develop Area Near Gaston, I-69

Delaware County commissioners have approved an economic development area, including a tax increment financing (TIF) district, that stretches from the town of Gaston, down to and along State Route 28 and then to I-69.

Hundreds of acres of property, most of it undeveloped, are included in the area. Brad Bookout, the county’s economic development officer, told The Star Press that doesn’t mean a major development is being considered for the area- in fact, he says any development is probably 20 years away.
