The death of an inmate at the Howard County Jail has been ruled a suicide. The Howard County Coroner says 38-year-old James Patterson died from asphyxia caused by hanging. Patterson was found unconscious in a holding area Tuesday morning. Patterson had been arrested for Felony Domestic Battery and Strangulation.
