Alexandria residents are breathing easier today. Tuesday morning a construction crew hit a natural gas line near the corner of North Canal and Broadway Streets. Emergency crews responded and evacuated fourteen people while Vectren crews capped the leak. After about 30 minutes residents were allowed back into their homes.
