Man Stands Trial For Crashing Through Post Office Lot Gate

“My life was in danger,” So said a Muncie Police officer in connection with a March 24th incident in which he fired shots at a car that crashed through a gate to enter a U.S. Post Office parking lot. The Star Press reports the driver of the car, 48 year old Charles Dinkins of the 1200 block of South Franklin Street is on trial for attempted aggravated battery, criminal recklessness, resisting law enforcement and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident.
