An office complex in Carmel was evacuated Thursday after at least 14 people fell ill due to an unusual odor. Paramedics and the fire department arrived at the North Meridian Street complex to evaluate patients and try to determine the cause of the abrupt illnesses. No threats were detected although at least eight people were taken to the hospital.
