A temporary contractor has been hired to get the clerk-treasurer’s office in Alexandria back on track. City council voted 6-1 in favor of a contract with Reedy Financial Group that will go week to week. In terms of compensation, it would range from $75 to $150 per hour and the contract is renewable for up to $50,000 per year. The former clerk-treasurer Amie Hood resigned a few weeks back after just a month in office.
