May 1st is the day the Distressed Unit Appeals Board begins the process which will lead to a takeover of Muncie Community Schools. Superintendent Steven Baule says the five member panel will meet with school board members during a meeting, which is public, scheduled for 6:30 that night in the Muncie Area Career Center. What those who attend may find out are some next steps in terms of what the temporary take over process will look like for MCS.
