Kaplan University is about to become part of Purdue. University President Mitch Daniels says the school will buy Kaplan and turn it into a new, non-profit online arm of the Purdue system. Purdue will acquire all of Kaplan’s assets, which include 15 campuses and learning centers, 32,000 students and 3,000 employees. Operations will begin once it receives state and federal approval.
