Criminal charges have been dropped against a former Anderson doctor accused of prescribing unnecessary pain medication. According to the Herald Bulletin, 68-year-old Robert C. Ash, was a physician at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital for about five years when county, state and federal authorities arrested him in May 2014. In addition, he can resume practicing medicine, if he will work under the supervision of another physician for one year and complete a re-entry program.
