Probation for an area anesthesiologist who prosecutors claimed ingested stolen narcotics and then took part in medical procedures. Authorities say 52 year old Jose Ramos did so at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. In sentencing Ramos, the Star Press reports, the judge told him he had played Russian roulette with the lives of patients. Ramos countered that he was sorry and that he had sought extenstive treatment for both a drug addiction and mental health issues with which he was diagnosed.
