Muncie Mayor Dennis Tyler spoke during a news conference Thursday morning to discuss the arrest of a city employee who is facing charges of theft, wire fraud and money laundering. Muncie Building Commissioner Craig Nichols was arrested Wednesday after a year-long investigation. While Tyler didn’t talk about the indictment, he did comment about the “burden and the cost to the city” of the FBI investigation.
