Monopoly Retires The Humble Thimble

Is it a sign of the times? After 82 years, one Monopoly token is getting a “thumbs down” from fans. More than four million Monopoly-mad Americans voted to have the humble thimble removed from a new version of the game. Hasbro’s Jonathan Berkowitz says he’s surprised the thimble was voted out because it’s one of the game’s original tokens. The new, thimble-free version of Monopoly comes out this August.
