A Muncie man allegedly avoided being arrested – for five months – by pretending to be his brother. The Star Press reports the ruse ended when the brother received citations for traffic offenses he had not committed, and compared notes with city police. 33-year-old Matthew Erik Gruber Sr. has been arrested on charges of identity deception. His bond at the Delaware County jail was set at $7,500.
