A gas odor made for a change of venue Friday morning for kids who go to Storer Elementary. The smell was detected and Twitter and Facebook posts let parents know that those students would be going to Northside Middle School for the day. Buses were rerouted to Northside as well. Parents who pick up their kids from school were instructed to do so at the normal time, but at Northside Middle. Tests have been up and running at Storer to track down the source of the odor.
